It should be noted that you do not have to build the entire house out of  
cob. You can instead use cob for selected interior walls. Cob is the best  
passive heat storage means going. All houses regardless of their location should  
include passive heat or cold storage. I have a cob wall in my conventional  
house, and temperature data shows that with no supplemental heat the room  
temperature is never as hot or as cold as the outside temperature.
