In her posting Lori asked about radiant floor heat and it reminded me of a
product that I saw recently. Apparently they are now making new radiant
systems that you can retrofitt a house with. One can go under a wood floor
and another one, I just saw the display for, which looks like it goes over
an old concrete floor and is then topped with tile. Considering the times
that I've seen contractors punch holes in the tubing embedded in the
concrete when framing walls, it seemed like a really smart way to approach
the process.
And when it comes to floor plans, I have had the best luck in books for
retreats, cabins and sheds. books that have floor plans for "small houses"
seem to think that 2500 sq. ft. is small. For storage ideas, I like to
wonder around in campers and RVs. They are overly oppulent, but they don't
waste an inch. Good luck, Lori
