Speaking of Michael Pollan, he had a great article in the NYTimes the  
past weekend.  A lot of it may be 'old news' to anyone who has read  
him before, or has read Marion Nestle or Nina Planck or any number of  
others writing on food/culture/industrialization, but he really nails  
it in a fast and accessible way.
