Ocean is absolutely right about having a written standard with as
much information in it as possible for the above reasons.

Of course not. I apologize if my previous post seemed dorky, not
specific enough, etc; I was under the impression this was merely a
discussion forum, not an instructional forum. I would recommend to
the original poster to AT THE VERY LEAST get a copy of The Hand-
Sculpted House, and even better take a few cob workshops. Anyone who
would actually build based on a single paragraph in an internet
discussion group forum, well, that'd be asking for trouble.
