I have lost my internet connection, so please be patient with me, I have a number of people to get back with, right now I am planning for us all to meet in Seattle on the second saturday in September and hopefully we will visit some local cob projects. Everyone who has responded or will like to attend will get my phone number in the next couple of days and I am looking for suggestions, but basically we visit an example of cob and then get to yak and network.
sincerely
Jim

[snip].....I wonder about the papercrete roof though.....Is it placed on top of a chickenwire support?
Were there any composite fibers, etc. included in the mix? Could we see or hear about some more details?
Chickenwire support: I used both a hog wire and chicken wire support system. I had some of both, so that's what I used. I also like to place cloth over the roof rafters, nail or staple the wire to the rafters and then papercrete the roof. After the papercrete has dried, I paint on a coat of Asphalt Emulsion, Henry 107 to be exact. After that has dried, I paint on a coat of Elastomeric. I now have three papercrete roofs and all are holding up well. Who knows what the future will bring.
There were no additional fibers used in the mix.
