Subject: [Cob] Organic insulation for cob?
Here's an interesting article about growing fungus mycelium and using
it for insulation and construction. (In Time magazine Feb 8) Wouldn't
it be neat if it could be grown directly on earth or earth blocks and
incorporated into earth walls. Looks like it could reinforce as well
as insulate so would not weaken walls as other insulation
would. Plus potentially could be home grown and an organic part of
the building....just dreaming
