Hi all,
We're a couple who are building a cob/straw bale house and ecological
study centre in northern Spain (see http://www.abrazohouse.org). This
summer (from late June to late July) we are going to be visiting
Portland, Oregon, and the surrounding area -- for a cousin's wedding,
but also to get to know an area that we've heard a lot of good things about.
We would like to get in touch with people who are doing natural building
(and other earth-friendly practices) in Oregon and southern Washington.
We'd like to visit projects that have been going for a while, exchange
tips and ideas, possibly give a slideshow/talk about the first seven
years of our own project if there's interest in that, or just lend a
hand (or four) in exchange for food and accommodation.
We're planning to travel around using public transport, walking, renting
bikes or ride-sharing, rather than renting a car, since we think it's a
much more interesting way to travel. So, if your place is really remote
it might be a bit difficult for us to get to you. Otherwise we are open
to any suggestions.
Take care and we hope to hear from you soon... and please do forward
this to anyone who you think might be interested. Many thanks.
All the best
Robert and Almudena
