Ants and Earthen FloorsSpeireag speireag at linguist.dartmouth.eduTue Jul 1 10:28:46 PDT 1997
Hello. Sending this to both the Straw Bale and Cob lists, because it applies to both. Someone commented recently that he decided to go with a poured cement floor because making the floor proof against ants would be expensive and difficult. I had not considered ants as a possible problem in earthen floors. Are they? Has anyone on the list ever had them come up through a floor, or heard of such a thing? Is there a non-toxic ingredient which will deter the wee beasties? -Speireag. 0=====(--------------------- Speireag, aka Joshua Macdonald Alden (speireag at linguist.dartmouth.edu) Ma 's e ur toigh le, sgrìobh thugam anns a' Ghàidhlig agus tapadh leat airson mo Ghàidhlig a cheartachadh.
