For me, the biggest drawback of cob is its lack of insulation value. If an
otherwise contentional (totally cute and natural) cob structure could be
made to have a little insulation value, it'd be the best of all worlds. So,
if there were little mini bales that were, say 16" long x 10" wide x 8"
tall, they could provide moderate insulation value and be small enough to be
wrapped around a cob structure, embedded in the walls - so to speak. Placed
wherever they'll fit.
