Cob Wattle & daubJack C. Thompson tcl at teleport.comFri Jun 12 04:55:04 CDT 1998
This is a little bit off-topic, but over the next year or so I will be building a medieval-style papermill (overshot waterwheel; nine-hammer stampmill). The building will be approx. 12 ft. X 20 ft X 12 ft. high and will be timber frame construction with wattle & daub infill. So far, literature and web searches have not given much in the way of proportions of clay:sand:elements x:y:z. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with experience in this area. Thanks, Jack Jack C. Thompson Thompson Conservation Lab. 7549 N.
