Too bad about the structure tear-down.  I hope you'll find a way to
prevent it.  But, if you can't, can that be a learning experience in
itself?  Could you remove everything non-structural from the building and
then crush it by adding pre-weighed or standard weight sandbags to its
roof until it colapses, thus establishing it actual strenth? ...just a
