Hi all,

I've been following this earthen floor thread with great interest--I'm about to do one myself!  I like the idea of using hydrated lime if it will prevent the floor from turning to mud if it were to get soaking wet somehow.

I'm wondering if anyone still uses manure.  I would think the fibers would help a lot to prevent cracking, which seems to be a constant problem from what I've been reading.  Would it lower the pH and work against the lime?
