OPPS!! My "Merican" Schooling is showing... I is so ashamed <G> CHUCKLE.... << (1/4" is slightly more than 6mm), how do you like that burlap roof over fibrous cement? Both are pretty elastic materials, and the fibrous cement should do as an insulator. Just a thought... >> Uwe, water is an insidious material. Fibrous Cement would be a BAD thing to keep rain off your head in the long run. Those fibres by defination (as insulation) have air in them thus are routes for water to seep in and DESTROY your cement-fibre roofing. But the idea was interesting. I'd prefer to keep my insulation (which is mostly air trapped in fibres by nature) UNDER my waterproof (hopefully <G>) roof. Take care! Michael
