Cob Re: pictures of cob walls(Michael Saunby)Mike Hermes mhermes at erols.comFri Feb 26 09:19:19 PST 1999
hi Please do put a picture of this tiled cob wall up when you get the chance. Is there anything to note in making the mixture because of its all exterior purpose that may be a little different than for a house? I was thinking of building niches in the side and having a line along the top that was tiled and drained down tiled parts of the wall so I coud make my own hanging garden. Does any one have any good drainage thoughts?. I figured with a stone base I would be safe enough to let it drain on the ground ultimately without worrying a great deal of drainage ditches. The wall will be on a bit of a slope with a creek on the other side. It doesn't rain that much here. However I have but just entered this drainage realm, my thoughts are not based on experience. Thank you Laurel > Cob garden walls are quite popular here.
