My roof can handle the weight so a if a batch heater is easier, than
I'd vote for that.

I've seen a pretty nice one build with an old hot water tank, painted
black and put in an insulated box with a glass front.

There are four of us living in the house.
Sounds like shower in mid to late afternoon are best. Since I work from
home, hey showers are a whole lot more optional!

The big problem I have is every so often I get a crowd of folks whom
come to check out my house and camp etc, and we use a lot of water, but
normall we don't, thus this is why I thought the on-demand/solar combo
would work well. That is 90 % of the time, we'd adjust our showers to
the capabilities of the solar heater but on that wild weekend every so
often, we could let the tankless water heater.
