Cob: That last little inch

Was cobbin today and was wondering if anyone else has ran into this situation.
the situation occurs when you put a roof up first (my is held up by timbers harvested from the land)
well as you cob and that grand moment arrives when you are going to have the wall meet the
ceiling, it seems to require several passes to get that last little inch to be good and tight against the
ceiling. In case you're wondering why I put the roof up here first...it was because it was taking
longer than I expected and with a roof we are able to :
1.) work in the rain
2.) not have to cover it when it was raining.
3. Heck we even moved in ...no it wasn't raining then.

Has any one else done the roof first then built the cob walls up to an existing roof?
