David said: was wondering, could you put a little hydrogen peroxide in as a germ killer instead of the hot water? The problem with hot water is not only the energy thing, but it also wears your clothes out quicker. _______________________ I won't be using elec energy for the water, by painting an old wringer washer black, and setting it behing some salvaged sliding glass doors, insulating with cobcrete/papercrete walls painted black(see there is a cob connection) arround the back&sides I think I can heat the water to over 150 deg. ( actually 147 deg. is, according to experts) which is pasturized temp for drinking, so hopefully good enough for grimy clothes. Using a WAPI -water pasturizer indicator will tell me the water is hot enough to 147. Charmaine Taylor/ Taylor Publishing PO Box 6985, Eureka CA 95502 707-441-1632 http://www.dirtcheapbuilder.com
