I won't be using elec energy for the water, by painting an old wringer
washer black, and setting it behing some salvaged sliding glass doors,
insulating with cobcrete/papercrete walls painted black(see there is a
cob connection) arround the back&sides I think I can heat the water to
over 150 deg. ( actually 147 deg. is, according to experts)  which is
pasturized temp for drinking, so hopefully good enough for grimy
clothes. Using a WAPI -water pasturizer indicator will tell me the water
is hot enough to 147.
