 Actually the bigger obsticle to cob or other afordable building
techniques is more often than not, 
 are governmental building codes. While meaning well, they limit the
choices we have as individuals 
 and can hurt / hinder as much as they are intended on assisting us. I
can understand certain requirements 
 for bank loans, or for rental properties, but as an individual on one's
own space, one should be able 
 to build as one choices, even foolishly if desired. 

 IHMO of course.
