Just wondered if anyone has info on the old way of building in Bulgaria using materials at hand, stone, wood, cob etc. I have a photo revealing somewhat the structure inside a house built around 1920 If anyone cares to see it, go here:
http://www.ticoorganico.com/DSCF0071.jpg
I am fairly curious about the ribs that show, seems they may be a patch. The grandmother is still alive, her husband built it. I will get some answers in a few months but meanwhile am curious about who knows what about these methods.

Thanks,
Arlie
