Cob: Cob in BulgariaArlie Haig ajhaig at sonic.netWed Mar 20 17:25:07 CST 2002
Just wondered if anyone has info on the old way of building in Bulgaria using materials at hand, stone, wood, cob etc. I have a photo revealing somewhat the structure inside a house built around 1920 If anyone cares to see it, go here: http://www.ticoorganico.com/DSCF0071.jpg I am fairly curious about the ribs that show, seems they may be a patch. The grandmother is still alive, her husband built it. I will get some answers in a few months but meanwhile am curious about who knows what about these methods. Thanks, Arlie -------------- next part -------------- <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2713.1100" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Just wondered if anyone has info on the old way of building in Bulgaria using materials at hand, stone, wood, cob etc. I have a photo revealing somewhat the structure inside a house built around 1920 If anyone cares to see it, go here:</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><A href="http://www.ticoorganico.com/DSCF0071.jpg">http://www.ticoorganico.com/DSCF0071.jpg</A></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am fairly curious about the ribs that show, seems they may be a patch.
