I just wanted to correct an error in the article Barb sent.

The heating of limestone goes up to around 1000C (1832F) .......   

Somehow the writer of the article you sent Barb made an error and put in
an extra zero in there, which makes it hotter than the surface of the
sun, which is about 6,000°C (11,000°F).
