[Cob] book recommendation, metal w/cob question

Metal use with cob question:
Can I use galvanized steel embedded in the cob? Any issues to be aware of in doing so? How about EMT (electrical mechanical tubing)? Or is that the same as galvanized steel? Have been reading the discussion about the nails, but wasn't sure what the out come actually was.
