I agree with Amanda.  I want to make one.  I'll bet it would last as long
and look as good as the wood and metal thing I got a few years ago at
Menards.  Mine looks really terrible now, it's only around until I haul the
last load of junk out before moving, unless I think I can salvage the metal
part of it (doubtful - pretty rusty).   The wood parts will probably fuel a
campfire this year. 

When I get moved, a cob bench will be built in my garden for sure! :)

Don't sell yourself short, it looks good.  How comfortable, I don't know.  
But definitely good.
