Earth-lovers and mud daubers: here is an amazingly cool idea for solar/mud brick use in dry/desert areas. Architect Andew Webb does some amazing work in areas of great need. there is not a stick of wood in sight for miles... so solar for food cooking in a mud brick solar cooker would be a good idea too. Garden in one and cook in the next. http://www.thegreenwebb.com/Agriculture.htm the sloped mud brick greenhouse looks like a great idea for a steep slope piece of land too. Maybe a smaller version... build onto the side of the greenhouse at table height ...where you walk up to the back, open the oven door and take out your solar cooked falafel and rice curry! http://solarcooking.org/wallovn1.htm << wall oven made of plywood, could easily very done in mudbrick I've even seen an image of a papercrete walled solar cooker.. used in the middle east.
