[Cob] winter cooking

Copper,

I'm a little late answering this, but here goes... We have been using our
cob oven about once a month this winter, and last time it was at least -10
C. It is hard to get it hot enough, though we still did cook a pretty big
meal (with some conventional oven to finish some stuff off), and 10 loaves
of bread to boot. Mine is pretty cracked, but the cracks came from the
drying once we were done the oven, and hasn't cracked much this winter. It
gets pretty steamy some hours later as the heat gets to the outside, but
the oven itself doesn't seem to have sustained any damage. I say go for it.
