The best laid plans gey aft astray...
My first goal for this building season is to finish the children's
playhouse at St. John's. To do that I am afraid that we need a little cooperation
from the weather. To do the wall we need a couple of days where the night
time temperature is above 28 degrees and to do the roof we need 4 or 5 days
where the temperature is above 28 degrees and no rain snow or sleet is predicted.
While earth plasters are probably not going to be hurt by a little
frost, I think it is too big a gamble to try plastering cold walls where the
temperatures are predicted to be in the mid to low 20's. So, much as I hate to do
it I am going to discontinue trying to do anything till this cold snap ends.
I will be checking AOL's seven day forecast for a break in the weather and I
hope we can schedule something in the near future.
Till then thanks for offers of help and I hope you will still be
available when we can actually get out and do some work. Later this year I hope to
build other structures at Acorn Hill Elementary school and at Tuckahoe and I
will try to schedule something on a weekends for those who are gainfully
employed.
Thanks
Ed
