[Cob] Cob: Paper clay

Ed is the person to talk to on playhouse roof pictures. (he doesn't have a
web site, this list doesn't allow attachments larger than a URL, at least
partly because a lot of people are on antique computers and slow dial-up
modems. Sometimes I hate people with DSL or WI-FI or satellite, even though
at the moment I have a fast dial-up modem. Other possibilities are
available in town, but not this far out in the country or down in a valley.

Hmmm. Wonder how breakable paper clay roof tiles are (would the first
branch or hail-stone bust something), would you have to glaze or seal them
to get waterproof-ness?

the person who developed the stuff being sold does have a patent. That may,
mostly, cover the process by which she made it not turn sour in the vat and
make it salable. There's been an awful lot of paper-whatever (padobe, for
one) or even whatever-crete, not all of which has con-crete in it, IIRC.

It seems as if this paper clay could make wonderful lightweight fire
resistant roofing shingles. I too would to see some pictures of the roof on
the childrens playhouse as they become available. # 8-)
