[Cob] wood in cob

if you are building a post & beam cob i would think the cob would have to be around part of the upright beams and or aganst the floor sills doesnt this cause a problem of rot , or different expansion rates 
posts are useuly green or partly green, white oak 8x8 takes 8 years to dry out
