[Cob] % Lime putty -recipe for volume useYun Que yunk88 at hotmail.comTue Feb 13 08:27:34 CST 2007
Cat here! A mason some years ago told me his dad a mason also used to urinate on his hands to heal the damage done by his work. In the hills this is a common practice for wounds in the field when you aren't going to take the time to go back to the house. This is a handy self made antibacterial. When something as inconsequential as a splinter from a barn stall can cause staff, it's a nice thing to know. We also use fresh urine with injuries on the animals. Note. must be fresh and warm. It is a rather nourishing substance and develops bacteria quickly. "More between heaven and earth then is spoken of in your philosophy!" for the good of all C. ______________________________________________________________ From: "phil" <philhawnnc at excite.com> Reply-To: philhawnnc at excite.com To: coblist at deatech.com Subject: Re: [Cob] % Lime putty -recipe for volume use Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2007 22:47:09 -0500 (EST) MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Sender: philhawnnc at excite.com Received: from vogon.deatech.com ([69.59.212.73]) by bay0-mc3-f22.bay0.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.2444); Mon, 12 Feb 2007 19:53:39 -0800 Received: from localhost([127.0.0.1] helo=vogon.deatech.com ident=list)by vogon.deatech.com with esmtp (Exim 4.50)id 1HGoeB-0002Np-Bc; Mon, 12 Feb 2007 19:48:03 -0800 Received: from nn8.excitenetwork.com ([207.159.120.62] helo=excite.com)by vogon.deatech.com with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1HGodu-0002NP-Hnfor coblist at deatech.com; Mon, 12 Feb 2007 19:47:53 -0800 Received: by xprdmxin.myway.com (Postfix, from userid 110)id 73BF28B393; Mon, 12 Feb 2007 22:47:09 -0500 (EST) Received: from [71.29.176.124] by xprdmailfe19.nwk.excite.com via HTTP;Mon, 12 Feb 2007 22:47:09 EST > >I forgot to mention the thing about vinegar. This past summer after working with cob, very well aged clay plasters mixes, and lime putty, I found that washing with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar with a little natural soap made my hands feel nice and soft again. Just risnse hands with vinegar, THEN wash well, soap alone will not stop the "pruning" of your fingers. > >_______________________________________________ >Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com >The most personalized portal on the Web! > > > >_______________________________________________ >Coblist mailing list >Coblist at deatech.com >http://www.deatech.com/mailman/listinfo/coblist _________________________________________________________________ [1]From predictions to trailers, check out the MSN Entertainment Guide to the Academy Awards® References 1. http://g.msn.com/8HMBENUS/2752??PS=47575
