[Cob] % Lime putty -recipe for volume usephil philhawnnc at excite.comMon Feb 12 19:47:09 PST 2007
I forgot to mention the thing about vinegar. This past summer after working with cob, very well aged clay plasters mixes, and lime putty, I found that washing with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar with a little natural soap made my hands feel nice and soft again. Takes the smell out from the clay that may have gone anaerobic as well! Phil Hawn Charmaine Taylor wrote: keep a bottle of white /cider vinegar- it will stop the harsh drying action of lime to the hands/skin immediately. Just risnse hands with vinegar, THEN wash well, soap alone will not stop the "pruning" of your fingers. _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
