Howdy,
Here is a link to a blog and website about building with horse manure in
the cob mixture. The family is in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (near the
Porcupine Mountains and hence in the Lake Superior snowbelt). They and 
their
children have built a gorgeous cob and log end home that is quite
extraordinary. They have an earthen floor and an earthen rocket stove.

If you want a blog that shows people walking the walk, this is it. BTW,
they are also devout Catholics and so there is some humble mention of their
faith.
