[Cob] Cobbing in SeattleDulane silkworm at spiderhollow.comMon Jul 30 23:30:35 CDT 2007
Well, Sarah, you have found us! There are several projects going on in the near vicinity. I'm in the Bothell area, and Brina is north, outside of Stanwood. Our projects are very similar, except she is doing a cob cordwood hybrid. (And ours are different sizes due to different code interpretations!) Email me, and I'll connect you with her too. I'm pretty flexible with times. Let me know. There was just a plastering workshop last month too. Thanks for the insight on colored glass windows. I like the candle ledge idea, Ed. I'm playing with big old peanut butter jars too. They are nice and thick, have a lid and can double as a stash place for incense, etc. I'll put colored plates in front of them on their own little ledges. :-) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sarah C Mcquaide" <smcquaid at u.washington.edu> To: <coblist at deatech.com> Sent: Monday, July 30, 2007 1:31 PM Subject: [Cob] Cobbing in Seattle | Hi everyone, | | I recently discovered cob (though I realize now that the homes all over Ireland where I visited grandparents as a child were probably hundreds of years-old cob!) and have been reading as much as I can. I am hoping to find out about any one working on a cob structure in the seattle area. I have searched high and low on this userlist and google and have not found any information on anyone in this area doing cob. | I would like to volunteer labor in exchange for education... | | thanks very much, | Peace, | Sarah | | | | | _______________________________________________ | Coblist mailing list | Coblist at deatech.com | http://www.deatech.com/mailman/listinfo/coblist
