[Cob] Cob Bar

I wouldn't think a foundation would be necessary....there shouldn't ever
be enough standing water in the building to compromise it. If you
wanted to, I think that a short stone foundation--just 6 or 8 inches or
so--would elevate it enough off the ground so that mopping it wouldn't
be so messy....and since you're on the ground floor of a 4-story
building, an upstairs water leak could--in theory--cause standing water
downstairs. A stone foundation would also give the bar something to
"grip" on the otherwise-slippery ceramic tile floor. If it were me, I'd
basically outline the bar's footprint in stones, fill in with stone
inside that footprint, then mortar them in and then start my cob on top
of that.
