[Cob] Rocket Stove -new metal?Dirtcheapbuilder-Charmaine tms at northcoast.comSun Oct 7 11:41:31 CDT 2007
Also, besides sheet metal in a scrapyard, there may be the inner drums from small washers and driers, these are steel...could they work? any non painted, tub/barrel shaped metal? We have a large metal salvage yard here in Arcata CA, but many people may not be close to one, or worth the gas to drive to. In most hardware shops they sell large metal tubes for air ducts and such, and sheet metal shops may bend and sell a large piece to your specs. Might be worth it. Could a new metal duct/tube be used? Could you burn off any factory coatings in an open fire first? curious metal-seeking minds want to know!
