[Cob] wattle and daub

This isn't exactly a cob question, but still relative; I would like  
some mass on the interior of the house, but would also like a wooden  
floor instead of dirt. Would wattle and daub work for this situation  
you think? I'd love to hear from anyone who has thought about this.
