Hello folks! Myself and my partner are just beginning our trench for our cob house here in Honeydale , n.b., Canada. We are going to be building for the rest of the summer and would love to welcome anyone who would like to come and spend any amount of time learning how to build cob for cold winters in the Maritimes. We will have area in this meadow for camping and can supply some food, but ask that if possible, anyone who would like to benefit from this educational experience in sustainable building bring supplies of their own. We are not charging for this experience, we only ask for you to give us a hand!
If you are interested in hearing about our plans or helping out, email me at Jacques.marmen at gmail.com to be added to our mailing list.

How to people prepare a two string bale for sawing up the middle. i.e. how is the tension on the added new strings achieved? This assumes making it into a four string bale to give the halves some integrity for handling once it is sawed up the middle.
