Earthen Plaster Workshop Series with Carole Crews of Gourmet Adobe at Beneficial Farm - producing organic vegetables and eggs SE of Santa Fe, New Mexico Saturday, Sept 25, Saturday, Oct. 9, & Sunday, Oct 17 This series of plastering workshops will give you hands-on experience mixing and applying a 3-coat earthen plaster to straw-bale and straw-clay interior walls. Learn how to prepare your walls, how to work with local soils, how to make and apply a variety of plaster mixes, how to create colors using natural clays and pigments, and the simple secrets of durable aliz finishes. Discover how easy it is to decorate a wall with bas relief sculpture and polished micaceous clay paints.
