Cob: cob blocks?

Adobe blocks are standard practice in the South-West.
They are mortared and plastered with mud.

Here in the pac. NW - Oregon cob means no blocks - there's not enough hot
dry weather for an adobe brick yard.
On the other hand a slow drying process is an advantage - fewer cracks.

  I have seen pictures of this being done.  Here is the URL for a
picture of blocks being formed.   This is not the size you mention, but
it is a cob like mix brick/block.
