Hi all, I posted these images to the Cob list a while back. They are of Tractor Cob, a faster method of building that crosses the lines between adobe/rammed earth/cob beautifully.
The experimenter/builder is Rob Pollacek, shown sitting (in the second image). he and a Brit named Simon (forgot last name) have been developing this bucket loader method, and Rob has a short article in the NEWEST issue of The Cob Web newsletter by the folks at Cob Cottage Co- 541-942-2005
I am cheerfully twisting Rob's arm to write up a full description of his methods,he agreed, now due out in March in a booklet format. Will have lots of images of building in it as well.
Rob just completed a rectilinear 1100 sq ft cob home, and will describe that process in the booklet.
A repeat of the tractor cob images at Ananda in CA.
