There is a plan for sale that takes the old tanks, and shows how to 
convert them to solar H2O heaters, called the Cascade Plan, it has a 
parts list and is very detailed on specific conversion.

When roof mounted into an attic space, with glazing, they lookl ike 
skylight, not big honking Sears wate tanks..hahahah
