Cob: Nova program

Did anyone see the Nova program on PBS called "Lost Treasures of Tibet"?
The program was primarily about restoring the ancient buddhist paintings
in a monastery, but part of the restoration included re-roofing the
building to keep water out of the monastery. The roof was made with
timbers, stones and local clays...including a special clay with a high
salt content (their description) that was sprinkled on as a final
coating that would soak into the tamped clay roof at the first rain, and
that would swell and help seal the roof.
