1, This was not my house, it was an out house. The over hang was only about 6 inches and the height of the wall was about 6 foot.
    the paint was really over a earthen plaster which was plastered over superadobe (aka earth bags). The plaster in the non-painted areas totally washed away, the part covered with the paint is still there today.  Sorry if I wasn''t clear on that before.

   1.) Just how much of your 18"? cob wall melted away in two years?   

   2.) What size of overhang did you have?  

   3.) What was the height of the wall you are speaking off?
