<P>Cat here, Shaving horses is done all the time for shows and racing but the draw back is that you have left your animal unprotected and will have to blanket, stable, sun and fly sheet them.  Unlike us who get hot and want to get naked, most animles with hair use the hair as insulation to keep body tempetures in the cold and in the heat.  So be patient and collect your hair as you go along so everyone gets what they need.  </P></DIV>
