Some friends of mine used cow hair in the last layer of plaster on their strawbale house. They got it from farmers who shave their cows. I didn´t follow the first part of this discussion: those who used horse hair - are you sure they used mane hair and tail hair and not body hair? Lovisa on the west coast of Sweden
