Cob: RE: Mud Borers

I've had some areas that have had problems with fat looking bees that appear like the same ones that bore into wood. They don't seem to go too deep but one sections has a fairly large number of holes. On one section I plasted with a coat of lime plaster and that seem to do the trick for discourage the little creatures from more boring.

Could dabbers or mud boring inserts be a problem with cob?  I have seen
the wood boring "Bumble Bees" that have made extensive comb systems in
log homes.
