Start-to-Finish Course for Owner-Builders
Sponsored by Cob Cottage Company, July 28-August 15, 2003
in Coquille, OR

	Learn all aspects of building cob walls and floors, natural plasters,
windows and doors, roof design, materials choice, siting, drainage and
foundations, sitework, designing your building, pipes and wires and
harvesting natural  materials or urban scavenging. We also cover selection
and care of tools, ways to get volunteer help, ecology of buildings, safety,
passive solar and sculptural detailing.
About the site:
	The course will be held on the site Cob Cottage Co. is gradually developing
to be the first permanent school of Natural Building in North America, near
Coquille, 1/2 hour from Coos Bay and Bandon on the southern Oregon coast.
The ecology is coastal rainforest, with a year-round creek and some
impressive trees. ItÂ’s spectacular.

	$1500 ($1350 if paid by June 28; $1200 if paid by June 28 and you come with
a friend) includes instruction, materials, vegetarian meals and camping.
