Cob: Natural Building Workshop With A Bamboo Twist

Fellow Natural Builders,

Gale Goldberg,  will do a presentation Friday evening, 6 June, during the Hobbit House design workshop at Pine Manor.  She will also participate in the addition of the bamboo cover for the straw bale pool wall over the weekend.   

We recently harvested part of a bamboo grove in the Hollywood Hills that was destined for the landfill and have some nice pieces.  It was being cleared so that a Lloyd Wright designed house under renovation can be seen from the street :-).  

We look forward to having her input and assistance in combining these two sustainable building systems into a beautiful structure.  

For those not familiar with Gale, she is the author of  a book on bamboo called  Bamboo Style (see http://www.bamboostyle.net/)
