Cob: wool as insulator?

I believe that the original question was about MINERAL wool which is not the 
same thing as sheep's wool. According to my dictionary mineral wool is a 
fibrous material made from molten rock, slag or glass. It seems like this 
would include but not be limited to fiberglass insultion which has different 
properties than amimal wool.
