Cob: Too much linseed oil

Joe,
   there are ways to be careful.   Common sense helps a lot to.   
Consider how the combustion happens an avoid it.  I presume you mean 
spontaneously, but people do in fact apply boiled linseed oil, without 
petrol additives, safely.

Can you tell us what conditions you where thinking about for spontaneous 
combustion?
