Yew's is right.
I would recommend for people to build a cob composting toilet structure.
Call it an outhouse if you will, but it would be an aerobic composting
toilet, with no smell with proper care.   It would also be a good starting
project for anyone and would have great utility when done.   It could also
be done up cute like a pixie house or one of the munchen's from oz's house.
You could experiment with roofs to.   Thatch from the reeds down the
riverside, or some kind of green living roof.

Personally, I couldn't justify the expense.  I'd prefer something simpler
and less expensive, as described here:
