As to why she doesn't contribute to the list. I don't think she has time. Have you seen her schedule? Would she have computer access in some of those locations?

Keeping it on subject: There are often cob/plaster parties in the Asheville area with people who are friends with Janell. When I get word of them I post them to our yahoo group. Those who live close by might consider signing up to receive notification of those events. See the web address below for more info.
I have indeed met Janell and had a medium length, philosophical discussion with her. We didn't go into religion, though she didn't seem any nuttier than I am (humour intended).

As to why she charges so much...I didn't notice that it cost any more for her courses than say for Cob Cottage Co. This is her means of making a living. I hope to one day do the same.

Do whatever it takes to get cob in the eyes of people everywhere. I think Janell does a good job.

Phil Hawn, President
The North Carolina Natural Building Coalition
http://naturalbuilder.org
cob, strawbale, cordwood and other sustainable earthbuilding techniques

--- On Mon 11/24, D.J. In the new year I (with
my spouse and young child) plan to travel through Central America for a
couple of months. The following year we will be traveling in SE Asia
for a few months, then staying in Pune, India for 2 months. I would
really like to do some cob or other alternative building work in both
of these places, but a lot of the opportunities I have found on the
internet are related to paid courses. I will not have money to pay
extra but since I will already be there would be happy to participate
in volunteer work. Does anyone have experience and/or contacts
regarding volunteer cobbing in Central America, India, Cambodia,
Vietnam or Laos?
Thank you very much!
G.
